The Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI)

 AHRI is the national association representing human resource and people management professionals and currently has in excess of 14,000 members. AHRI leads the direction and fosters the growth of the HR profession through actively setting standards and building the capability of the profession.

Through its international affiliations and close association with industry and academia, AHRI ensures that its members are given access to a soundly-based professional recognition framework.
The AHRI vision, “Shaping the future of the profession through our members”, recognises the connection between the responsiveness of AHRI to its membership and the strengthening of the HR profession as a whole. Australian Institute of Training & Development (AITD)

AITD offer member prices to all AFSE members for participating in any AITD events .  Note that any events that are free to AITD members are excluded from this offer.

Founded in 1971, the AITD is the association of choice for professionals in training, learning and development. AITD’s mission is to be a leader in fostering excellence, innovation and professional integrity in training, learning and development for the workplace. By being a member of AITD you will belong to a professional body dedicated to the same goals. The three strands of the value of AITD membership are summed up in their motto:  Innovate * Learn * Connect.

Innovate – Build your knowledge of the latest approaches to developing people and successful organisations. Nowhere is it more important to stay in touch to stay in touch with trends than in training, learning and development.

Learn – By joining AITD you demonstrate your commitment to the profession and gain access to a range of professional development activities. Membership entitles you to apply for AITD’s Accredited Practitioner status.

Connect – Joining AITD will enable you to establish a network of professional peers and contacts. Attend local and national events, become involved in special interest groups, and become listed in the AITD Trainers’ Database, the listing of “who’s who” in the field of in training, learning and development.

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) is the peak professional body for Australia’s financial planners, representing approximately 12,000 individuals and businesses. The AFSE consults regularly with the FPA to ensure our members are informed and supported about any regulatory changes that will impact the industry.

Association of Financial Advisers (AFA)

The Association of Financial Advisers is a professional organisation that has been serving the financial advising industry for over 60 years.  Its aim is to provide members with a robust united voice, continually improve practises and focus firmly on the exciting, dynamic future of the financial advising industry.

With six decades of success behind it, the association's ongoing relevance is due to its philosophy of being an association of advisers run by advisers.  This means advisers set the agenda, decide which issues to tackle and shape the organisation's strategic plan.
