Name: Warwick Glaves Organisation: Professional Investment Services Position title: Education Manager AFSE member since: 2007
What are some of the challenges you face for 2009? “Maintaining a flow of new recruits into the financial services industry to satisfy advisers ongoing succession planning needs. Also, creating consistent information regarding the dynamics of the current economic environment.” Why are you an AFSE member? “Being a recognised professional body, AFSE presents excellent networking opportunities and acts as a resource for new concepts for representatives across the industry spectrum.” Any suggestions for the AFSE? “I aim to increase the awareness of AFSE to the national education community through the relationships I have established on behalf of PIS with national universities. AFSE is a unique entity within the industry and provides an excellent platform to promote and develop the profession at a grass roots level.
The finance faculties of PIS affiliated universities would greatly benefit from a closer working relationship with AFSE. There is a great deal of collaboration of ideas that occur within AFSE. The collective desire to continually better our industry’s practitioners through quality educational processes is evident.”
